Vadalur Graced by Thiru Arutprakasa Vallalar Ramalinga Swamigal

154th Thaipusam Jothi Dharshan 152nd Year of Vallalar Attaining the Body of Light

Come to attain the great immortal life! Come to know and realize the “pupil of the eye”!

To Kanyakumari Thanga Jothi Gnana Sabai! “Golden Light in the Sathya Gnana Sabai”

O those with soul-centered unity! Greetings! Thanks! Well-being! That is what we seek! On this auspicious day of Thaipusam, with the sun rising in the east and the moon setting in the west in the vast expanse of Vadalur, we must witness the “Thanga Jothi” (Golden Light) dharshan in the center at the Sathya Gnana Sabai. To help us attain wisdom, the Sun of Wisdom who came to uplift the world, Thiru Arutprakasa Vallalar Ramalinga Swamigal, has bestowed his grace! “Come to see the Thaipusam Jothi! If you come to Vadalur, you will receive a great boon!” Vallalar called out loudly, inviting all the people of the world, saying, “Everyone can attain the great immortal life!”

The wisdom that was hitherto hidden, the wisdom written in coded language, the wisdom that was believed could only be attained by living in a Gurukulam—just like the great saint Sri Ramanujar, Vallalar Sri Ramalingar also revealed these hidden truths so that all people of the world could attain wisdom. He decoded the secret language and said, “I will show you the way—the eye,” creating a path for people to witness the Thaipusam Jothi dharshan at the Sathya Gnana Sabai and to realize and understand true wisdom. This is a monumental act of grace that no one else in this world has done so far!

The Sathya Jnana Sabhai (The Hall of True Wisdom) resembles the very structure of our head! Vallalar sang with divine grace: “I beheld the Sathya Jnana Sabhai within myself.”

That is to say, at the very center of our head—deep inside—the Lord of Infinite Grace and Effulgence (Arutperunjothi Aandavar) shines resplendently like shimmering gold! This inner reality is exactly what he revealed outwardly through the center of the Sathya Jnana Sabhai. At that same moment, in the early morning, the sun rises in the east, while the full moon sets in the west. One can witness this extraordinary sight—the solar light, the lunar light, and the golden light of the Sathya Jnana Sabhai all at once—only by standing in the vast, open expanse of Vadalur! To visually demonstrate this profound inner wisdom to the world, Vallalar established the Thaipoosam Jyothi Darshanam.

In the exact same manner, deep inside the center of our head, our soul-light—the golden light—is radiating and shining brilliantly! The hidden secret revealed by the sages is that our right eye acts as the solar light and our left eye acts as the lunar light.

Attaining the Deathless State

If we wish to attain true spiritual wisdom, we must reach the soul-light that shines deep within the center of our head by using the light of our two eyes. Only then can we behold the Great Effulgence of Grace (Arutperunjothi)—the golden light, our very own soul-light!

Whosoever beholds his own soul-light is the one who has attained true wisdom. He alone can see God! He alone attains liberation (Mukthi) and reaches ultimate salvation (Moksha). He shall inherit the grand deathless life and become immortal (Chiranjeevi)! He is the true sage (Jnani), the perfected adept (Siddha), and the deathless one who exists forever—a perfected soul who has fully merged into Divinity.

The Oceans of Compassion: Sri Ramanujar and Vallalar

The great Mahatma, Sri Ramanujar, went against the strict warning of his Guru, who had initiated him into the sacred Ashtakshara Mantra saying, “If you reveal this to the outside world, you will surely go to hell! This is a strict secret!” Yet, desiring that every person in the world should reach heaven, he climbed atop the temple tower in the center of the town and proclaimed the mantra to everyone. Is he not a true sage? Declaring that he did not mind going to hell himself for the salvation of others, he defied the words of his short-sighted guru. Is he not a true ocean of compassion? What can ever equal the immense love he held for humanity?

If Sri Ramanujar, who revealed that mantra, is an ocean of compassion, then who is Vallalar Sri Ramalingar, who unveiled the ultimate secrets for reaching the Divine that had been kept strictly hidden until now? Who is God? How does He exist? He exists as the very light within our eyes in this physical body! He shines as the soul-light deep within the center of our head!

This is the true inner meaning of the Sathya Jnana Sabhai and the Thaipoosam Jyothi Darshanam. Is not Vallalar, who illuminated this path, a supreme sage who descended solely to elevate and save humanity? Shouldn’t the world realize this truth?

The Eternal Path of Sanmarga and Sanatana Dharma

To help a human being—refined by devotion—know, realize, and attain the divine state, Vallalar shows the way through the eyes (vazhi – vizhi, meaning the path is through the eyes). The ancient adage, “The shedding of the old and the ushering in of the new,” found its ultimate spiritual fulfillment in the realm of wisdom through Vallalar!

Guiding man to live as a true human being is the path of righteousness (Dharma) and morality (Aram) that has existed in our land since the very beginning of time. For a person living in such a way, knowing and realizing the Supreme Being who created him, and reaching His holy feet, is the ultimate, perfect state. Many sages in our land have been proclaiming this truth across untold ages and countless yugas. This is exactly what they termed “Sanatana Dharma.”

This is precisely what Vallalar Sri Ramalingar taught by naming it “Sanmarga.” Vallalar himself states with the utmost humility:

“Am I not also one among the lineage of the holy assembly that has come continuously, like one banana tree sprouting from another?”

The path of Sanmarga expounded by Vallalar is the very same truth stated in the ancient Vedas, the 18 Puranas, and the Upanishads. It is exactly what every enlightened sage who has ever appeared in this world has said. It is the wisdom spoken by Lord Jesus in the Bible; the wisdom spoken by Prophet Muhammad in the Quran; the wisdom spoken by Thirumoolar in the Thirumandhiram; and the wisdom spoken by Manikkavasagar in the Thiruvasagam. It is the wisdom enshrined in the Thirukkural, the spiritual verses uttered by Gunangudi Masthan, and the realizations of the great master of wisdom, Thuckalay Peer Muhammad. The core wisdom spoken by all of them is nothing but Sanmarga!

All great saints offered their teachings solely for the elevation and salvation of the world. They instructed humanity to regard every living being as their own self. They beheld the one and only God as pure Light, praised and sang His glories, and blessed us by imparting these teachings. He who sees division, differences, or sectarianism in this is an ignorant fool!

Seek the True Wisdom

Behold the Divine Lord alone! Read the instructional guidance of the sages to attain Him! Know it! Seek the way to realize it! Search for the Guru of Wisdom who reveals the true path through the eyes (vizhi)! You shall find him! Moving past secrecy, explaining the hidden mystical codes, the Thangajothi Jnana Sabhai has published numerous books to help the people of the world attain wisdom! Just like the great sages Sri Ramanujar and Sri Ramalingar, the true spiritual master (Gnana Sarguru) Shiva Selvaraj has published texts that bring spiritual wisdom fully into the light!

For the first time in the world, Gnana Satguru Shiva Selvaraj authored the book titled Kanmani-maalai in 1992, unveiling profound spiritual secrets to the public! Next, he published Sagaak-kalvi (The Science of Deathlessness) in a detailed, explanatory manner, completely free of any hidden elements, for the world to know. Observe it! Read it! You shall receive wisdom! There are many more such volumes of true spiritual knowledge available!

The True Meaning of Sanmarga

The path of Sanmarga must not stop merely with Annadanam (feeding the hungry)! It was with the intent to perform Jnana Danam (the gift of spiritual wisdom) that the Thangajothi Jnana Sabhai has published scriptural explanations from Kanyakumari. These texts explain the glory of the path to God, reveal the greatness of the holy feet—the Supreme Absolute Truth—and demystify the hidden spiritual codes! Let those who possess the eyes to see, perceive this! Let those who have love in their hearts seek spiritual instruction from Jnana Satguru Shiva Selvaraj! You will plenteously receive the grace and blessings of not just Vallalar Ramalingar, but of all the enlightened sages! If you approach, you can receive divine initiation (Jnana Deeksha)!

“A school without a guru is a waste”

“Without the grace of the Guru, divine grace cannot be attained”

Is it enough to simply read and chant the holy verses of Agaval(written by vallalar)?! True liberation (Moksha) is attained only when you understand the inner meaning of the songs and walk in that path! Walking the path of Sanmarga does not mean performing Pranayama (breath control)! It does not mean practicing Vasi Yogam! It does not mean performing any other external rituals or yogas!

“To engage in intense penance (Thavam) upon the Path of Divine Light to realize the Supreme Lord is the true essence of the Sanmarga path! He who blows and manipulates the breath (Pranayama) in a futile attempt to catch the Divine Light is an ignorant fool! Where did Vallalar ever command us to practice Pranayama? Read the sacred verses of the holy Thiruvarutpa thoroughly!”

The path of wisdom (Gnana Neri) itself is Sanmarga! Performing penance (Thavam) through the path of light to reach the All-Powerful Lord of Infinite Grace and Effulgence (Arutperunjothi Aandavar) is the true path of Sanmarga! He who blows into the wind trying to catch the light is an ignorant fool! Where did Vallalar ever ask anyone to practice Pranayama? Read the holy verses of Thiruvarutpa thoroughly!

Soul-Compassion and True Penance

Look upon your own life—which suffers through cycles of birth and death—with at least a little compassion! To save your own life, you must perform deep penance. Where does this life (Jivan), this soul (Atma), this vital breath reside? Understand how we can know it and reach it, perform your penance according to that method, and guide your soul toward liberation!

This is exactly what Vallalar meant when he declared, “Compassion for all living beings (Jiva Karunyam) is the key to the house of liberation.” Feeding the hungry is ordinary humanism; what Vallalar spoke of is soul-humanism (Atma Neyam)!!

First, seek a true Guru to elevate your soul and open your inner eye! After that, show the path of wisdom to save all other souls in this world! Perform Jnana Danam! This is the true path for you to attain salvation! There is a saying: “If you feed and raise a neighbor’s child, your own child will grow naturally!” If you reveal the path and show the way for worldly souls to be saved, and perform Jnana Danam, the great sages will rejoice and grant you the best path to receive wisdom! Perform the spiritual penance of wisdom (Jnana Thavam)! Perform the penance of wisdom!

The True Hallmark of a Seeker

There is no need to dress up or wander around wearing a disguise like Vallalar! Perform your penance of wisdom exactly as Vallalar instructed, exactly as outlined in the path of Jnana Sariyai, and as stated in the holy Thiruvarutpa! Perform penance so that your inner light overflows! Arise! Awake! This is what Swami Vivekananda proclaimed! Be hungry (spiritually), stay unique, stay awake! This is what Vallalar proclaimed!

Closing your eyes and meditating is not the path to receive wisdom! One must receive initiation through an authorized Guru, open the eyes, and perform the penance of wisdom while remaining fully awake! Vallalar has clearly stated, “Let all the habits of closing the eyes be buried and turn to dust!” Have you not read this?!

Celebrate the True Festival of Wisdom

“Behold the lock at the center of the eyebrows, rejoice, open it, and reside in the central path!” This is the true wisdom expounded by Vallalar! This is the collective statement of all enlightened sages! While other temples celebrate ordinary festivals, the Thaipoosam is the magnificent festival of light! It is the wondrous festival that shows the path to attain wisdom! Do not come here and waste your precious time! Seek the path to receive wisdom! You shall attain it!

Oh members of the Sanmarga Sangam, you celebrate the Thaipoosam festival, but why have you neglected to celebrate the festival of the Dharma Saalai on the 11th day of the Tamil month of Vaikasi, and the Guru Puja in the month of Purattasi-Chithirai?! Is there no true wisdom to accompany your practices?! One does not need a realized sage to just come and tell people to serve free food (Annadanam)! Vallalar descended unto this world solely to help you receive soul-wisdom (Atma Jnana), to guide you, and to show you the ultimate path! Do you understand this!

Only he who has conquered death is a true Sanmarga follower!

Our Vallalar is the peerless sage who attained a immortal, imperishable body of light!

Our Vallalar is the ocean of grace, the noble soul who expounded the science of deathlessness (Sagaakkalvi)!

To simply utter the sacred name of Vallalar, we must have earned immense merits (Punya) in our past births!

Everyone can attain divine wisdom!

The Kanyakumari Thangajothi Jnana Sabhai will guide you by demystifying the Jyothi Darshanam
(Vision of Light) of the Vadalur Sathya Jnana Sabhai, opening your eyes which are the true holy feet of the Divine!

The only true spiritual wisdom website in the world, www.vallalyaar.com, is spreading the path of
Sanmarga across the globe! Anyone may witness it! The entire universe resides within you!!

“Perform Jnana Danam (The Gift of Wisdom)!”

“Perform Jnana Thavam (The Penance of Wisdom)!”

Celebrate Vallalar’s birthday as Guru Puja in the Tamil months of Purattasi – Chithirai!

“We can live the grand, deathless life!”

“Ulagamelaam pottra oli vadivanaagi
